Wilma's Wrath
Another view of the intensity of the storm and the havoc wreaked by it. Notice the snapped Chrysalidocarpus cabadae stalk. This palm survived hurricane Andrew, but Wilma was too much for it.
Looking up this Royal Palm totem, no palm leaves remain in the crown. What was a fully clothed giant Scindapsus (Pothos) totem is now a tattered headless pole.
A view to the south, with the wind blowing fiercely, shows another of our Rainbow Eucalyptus trees down. This was our smallest one, and the upper part landed on our house, but fortunately did no damage.
Return to Whacked by Wilma!.
