Alocasia odora x
Alocasia longiloba 'Watsoniana'
Alocasia 'Watson's Giant' is a hybrid I had wished to produce for a long time. With Alocasia odora as the ovule parent, the progeny show much more durability than A. longiloba 'Watsoniana' yet with much of the look and a larger plant. So far, these plants have proven their ability to stay in good shape even when exposed to temperatures in the upper 30s Fahrenheit.
Below is another seedling from the cross; this plant is nearly as large as a typical A. odora plant.
